The President will appoint all members of committees within the organization unless otherwise directed by the membership or the Board of Directors.

This organization’s standing committees shall be:

Public Relations / Fundraising

To encourage and facilitate outreach to individuals and groups throughout the state of Washington to foster positive relationships and encourage donations to GDUWS.


To support the legal rights and public acceptance of guide dog teams throughout the state.


Develop the potential of GDUWS members and reach out to guide dog users to encourage new members.

Event Planning

Plan two statewide GDUWS program events each year, one annual convention and general business meeting, and one educational/social event.

The President may appoint ad hoc committees as the need arises.
